Ok...so I'll spill the beans...

I've never been quite the frequent writer on my blog, but I like to bring you sunshine and sprinkles whenever I can. It helps me look at the bright side of things, even when my little corner holds a little cloud overhead. Another reason, well, it's because I still like my privacy. I haven't quite told you everything that has been going on. Not just because of privacy, but for fear of jinxing things.

For the last few months hubby and I have been staying at my sister's house. She and her hubby have been uber welcoming to us. I mean, she and I have shared a room for half of our lives and we would fight like crazy. Now, under the same roof, but in different rooms, we get along much better. It may also help that our husbands also get a long like brothers. Overall, the fact that we are here is a win-win for both parties.

Why are we here? Well, we sold our home. Although this part was easy, buying a house has not been easy. We've encountered our share of difficulties with sellers, banks, and appraisers. For the last month a half we had an eye on the perfect house. We spent all the extras to make sure we were on par...and then BAM...it became a no go. What can I tell you other than, its the shits.

So as I sit here complaining of not having enough space for myself, not having my entire closet with me, and not being able to walk around naked in my house...I am also super thankful that I have a roof over my head, that I am able to save some money, and that I get to see my family on the daily. I am also much closer to my sister and my parents than I was some time ago.

So I am sure the right home will come along soon. Because if it is meant to be...it will be.

Until then....we will just keep our fingers and toes crossed.
oh...and do lots of breathing techniques, because my anxiety is through the roof!

Step Up and DANCE!!

Remember some time ago...I told you I was in a movie?
Well, since this event is very likely to not happen again, I must tell you about it one more time.

Come on! This is the only other place I get to gloat about my accomplishments! HA!

The scene, a beach hotel. Full of sun and sand, and yes, lots of humidity and some rain.  The hair and make-up people chased the actors everywhere. Unfortunately for me, the heat and humidity are not my friends. Specially if I'm trying to look cute.
My make-up was runny with sweat and my hair was a frizzball. See, that's not cute.

But sometimes, if you stood in the right spot and away from the crowd, you may be lucky enough to get called to be part of a different shot...

And I did a few times.
Sometimes it was to do a "walk by" and others were only to just be with a group and pretend to have fun.

Although I can spot myself (my frizzy hair or my elbow) on those other shots, this shot was the one that stood out long enough for my family to create a little fuss about me....

These are of course youtube clips and their screen shots...
but hey, this was the one shot worth showing you....
or you can fast forward to 2:20 ;)

I just wish that maybe next time, I can actually be one of the dancers in the movie.
Maybe? Someday?

Do you think I should include "Step Up" to my resume???

Random as Always

hello there friend...
It's finally SATURDAY!!!

On the usual it would mean party and drinks and dancing.
However, today I will dedicate it to Pinteresting and catching up with life.

Today I will allow my ADHD to kick in and give you all of the random thoughts that are in my head at the moment...

Did I mention hubby cooked yesterday? He made lasagna for dinner. I was so happy I had a few too many glasses of moscato. That sorta took me to bed too soon.

I was drunk at home!! I passed out on the couch. I apologize for not having a picture to go with that fabulous moment though.

On the other hand,
I have so much work to do!!!! I don't even know where to start. Or even IF I want to start.
I've got about 5 reports to finish before April. Can I do it?
This would require me to bring work home daily. Which I have done this week, but let's not go there because that's just boring...

Anyhow, this Tshirt makes me smile..

I found these at Target! These are definitely the best thing for organization!
Imagine using these lists to go shopping...scheduling meals....and the best one...
PACKING FOR TRIPS!

Today's breakfast is brought to you by Wonder Woman and Starbucks...

This is what I'm going to need when I'm close to completing the reports due for work...

Rent a Textbook, Give a Smile

HEY YOU COLLEGE STUDENT!!!!

It wasn't long ago that I was a student at our local University taking classes towards my Specialists degree. And oh boy, I think the most expensive thing were the textbooks. Hubby is also in his last semester of classes now and yes, books are his biggest expense!

One thing we never really thought of and we should have totally taken advantage of is book rentals! After researching a few sites, I noticed that CampusBookRentals.com had some of the best perks around:
 - They allow you to save from 40-90% off of bookstore prices.
 - Free Shipping...FREE SHIPPING both ways!
 - You can highlight the textbooks you receive
 - They have a 30 day return policy in case you drop or switch a class.
 - And even have flexible renting periods that make it easy for you to plan and send your textbook back

However, I think the best part of CampusBookRentals.com is that they are focused on a cause. Their cause?  Operation Smile. A portion of each textbook rented goes towards changing the lives of children all over the world that are in need of surgeries to correct cleft lip, cleft palate, and other facial deformities. These children experience a long term improvement in their quality of life after the surgery, which many of these families are unable to afford for their children.

CampusBookRentals.com also have a new program if you want to make money off your own textbooks! It's called RentBack.com. RentBack is new initiative that allows students to rent the textbooks they own - to other students... which is awesome because it makes them 2-4x more money compared to what they'd make through buyback options! (selling their books back at the end of the semester) Isn't that awesome?!

Sunday Confessions

I confess that I have only gone out running once in the past two weeks.
I confess that today I have been eyeing the refrigerator like it won't be there tomorrow.
I confess that I've already devoured two snack size Fritos bags because I needed to eat something. That's after my egg muffin and avocado spread and iced coffee.
I confess that I really don't want to do a thing today, but just sit and watch TV all day.
I confess that I have been eating anything and everything in sight without thinking twice about my weight and my health over the last couple of days.
I confess that I will probably begin a cleanse today that will constitute of water and lemons....and maybe some green tea.
I confess that I have a shitload of work to do, but I've already stayed late at work every day this week.
I confess that I just want to go out for a walk today, but I just don't know where this walk will take place.
I confess that I am going to blame it on that time of the month, today and always.
